Get started with Pawora
Pawora is a Shopify theme for pet brands that sell food, treats and gear. This guide covers the first hour: install, brand settings, navigation and your first home page.
1. Add the theme and open the editor
- Add Pawora to your store from the Shopify Theme Store.
- In Online Store, Themes, choose Customize next to Pawora.
- Use the page selector at the top to move between the home page, product, collection and other templates.
2. Add your logo and favicon
Open Theme settings, then Logo. Upload a logo and set its width with the slider. Square, wide and tall logos all work. If you have no logo image, the store name is shown as text. Add a favicon in Online Store, Preferences.
3. Set colors and fonts
- Colors: Theme settings, Colors. Pawora uses color schemes. Each scheme pairs a background with a text color, plus accent, button and border colors. Sections let you pick which scheme to use.
- Fonts: Theme settings, Typography. Pick a heading font and a body font from the Shopify font library. You can scale both sizes.
Choose combinations with strong contrast. Body text should have at least a 4.5 to 1 contrast ratio against its background.
4. Choose the cart type
Theme settings, Cart. Pick Drawer (slides in from the side) or Page. You can also turn on cart notes and set a free shipping threshold.
5. Build the home page
Select Home page in the editor. Add, remove and drag sections in any order. See Sections for what each one does.
6. Set up navigation
Create your menus in Online Store, Navigation, then connect them in the Header section. Pawora can show a different menu for each pet type. See Navigation.
7. Check the store on a phone
Use the device preview in the editor. On mobile, Pawora shows a dock at the bottom of the screen with menu, search, account and cart.
